WV Democratic County Conventions

For those of you who don't already know, the WV Democratic Party is having conventions at the county level for the first time.

At the county convention each county will elect a preset number of delegates to the WV Democratic State Convention. Candidates for delegate will be nominated and voted on the day of the county convention.

Because the turnout to these conventions is expected to be low, it is imperative that we, as progressives, get as many people to those conventions as possible. The more people we can get there, the more official voting delegates we will have at the state convention. With a big enough bloc of progressive votes at the state convention, we will be able to help shape the party platform.

If you are interested in coordinating efforts in your county to get out the progressive vote to the county conventions, please contact me at pdawva@gmail.com or at (304)444-3418.

This is a unique and realistic chance for us to be able to shape the state party. Let's not waste it!

Dave-

Remind me again when the County Democrat Conventions will be held? I can't for the life of me remember.

Thanks!
